Prince of Persia In Real Life
This sketch from Israeli comedy group Karahat doesn’t star Jake Gyllenhaal. It’s the real McCoy, the prince from the first game. A funny reminder of the simplicity of earlier videogames.

Ubisoft has made a version of Jordan Mechner’s original Prince of Persia for the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. The game mercifully includes a level select feature, and is dirt cheap at just 99 cents.
Not satisfied with just bending time, Ubisoft added new elemental powers to the latest Prince of Persia game, including solidifying water, using wind as a weapon, and jumping off buildings long gone.
It was a 21st century video game based on a 20th century video game, then it was a movie based on that video game. Now it’s a new video game again. Go figure. Just watch the gameplay and enjoy.
Prince of Persia gets a second full-length trailer; running over two minutes, this one is heavily loaded with action and includes our first substantive look at dagger-induced time travel.
We’re always wary of game-to-movies, but we like Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time’s first trailer; there are wisps of PotC here, appropriate as it’s a Bruckheimer & Disney production.
