Machining a Metal Snare Drum

Machining a Metal Snare Drum

A typical snare drum is made by bending a sheet of wood, acrylic, or metal to form its shell before attaching all of its hardware. Drummer Dan Pawlovich of Panic! At the Disco envisioned a drum with a 1-piece brass shell, and the guys from Titans of CNC Machining prove they were up to the challenge of bringing it to life. Check out the rough machining here.

DJ Cummerbund: I Teach Sins, Not Dougies

(PG-13: Language) If Cali Swag District and Panic! At The Disco performed with Enrique Iglesias, The Bee Gees, Men Without Hats, Whitney Houston, Luther Vandross, David Bowie, C+C Music Factory, and Walk the Moon, they might sound something like this dance track from DJ Cummerbund. So pour the champagne… all we need is a beat that’s super-bumpin’.
