Sanskrit epics and techno-fantasy blend awesomely in this teaser for MBX; it was conceived by acclaimed comic artist Grant Morrison under Liquid Comics (formerly Virgin Comics).

In theaters now, City of Ember is definitely geared towards a younger audience, but we’re intrigued by its post-apocalyptic survivor story. It smacks of a kid-friendly version of Fallout.

We’re always a fan of epic football movies, and The Express seems to be no exception. Starring Dennis Quaid and Rob Brown, it’s about the first African American to win the Heisman.

In theaters 10/10, Body of Lies is a geopolitical thriller in the vein of Syriana; directed by Blade Runner‘s Ridley Scott, it focuses on a series of terrorist strikes around the world.

Shown at Cannes, Waltz with Bashir is a documentary with a twist: it’s mostly animated. The story focuses on an Israeli soldier’s memories of the 1982 Lebanon War.

Add this to our Christmas wishlist: Dark Knight is coming to Blu-Ray on 12/9 as a standard two-disc set. The second set will include “Batman Tech” and six Gotham Cable episodes.

Pardon our French, but holy crap–this 2 foot long model of The Nebuchadnezzar is part of a limited, Japan-only 7-disc set of The Matrix trilogy and actually serves as a DVD case.

Delayed once, Gavin O’Connor’s police drama Pride and Glory is making it to the big screen 10/24. We hope this is a winner, with Edward Norton, Colin Farrell and Jon Voight in the cast.

Many of us have had crazy neighbors, but there’s no topping a deranged Samuel L. Jackson; set to the backdrop of a California wildfire, Lakeview Terrace is in theaters now.

Mega construction-bot Devastator is confirmed for Transformers 2; he’ll be composed of seven different vehicles. We can only hope it looks like the rendering above by Josh Nizzi.

Above is an extremely short teaser for the upcoming Gatchaman movie. It looks almost like a spinoff of the recent Speed Racer movie; let’s just hope it has a coherent storyline.

Not that Japan doesn’t have enough monsters, but the Water Dragon hologram above was filmed in Tokyo Bay. It’s actually part of a Sony ad campaign for The Water Horse movie.

This trailer for Fast and Furious 4 has Vin and the gang raiding a gas tanker, Mad Max style. It’s not exactly Oscar material, but who cares: car chases and hot chicks make us happy.
