Awesome Kawehi

Equipped with her electric guitar, a microphone, effects pedals, and loop box, multitalented musician Kawehi follows up on her breakout performance of Nine Inch Nails’ Closer with a fantastic street corner cover of The Hand That Feeds. Who knew Lawrence, Kansas was so cool?

It’s been a while since we heard from musician Kawehi, but from the sound of this clip, she’s still rockin’ it. While staying home, she recorded a medley including Elle King’s Ex’s & Oh’s, Jace Everett’s Bad Things, her own Mona Lisa, and Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black. We love how her dogs slept through the whole thing.

One of our favorite musical finds of the last few years has to be Kawehi, with her wonderful sense of rhythm, buttery-smooth voice, and joie de vivre, the one-woman band is a real star. Here, she performs two tracks from another great artist, Björk – Joga and Army of Me.

Kawehi is a fully self-contained marching band as she walks down the sidewalk and performs her latest song, a rallying cry she wrote when was tired of being put down for being a “silly woman.” It’s an inspiring tune that people of all genders and races can get behind.

Multitalented musician Kawehi reminds us why we love her so much, as she turns in an awesome one-woman performance of the Muse track Time is Running Out during a live performance. We’re looking forward to her recently crowdfunded new album EVE.

Multitalented musician Kawehi’s latest track is yet another wonderful cover version, made entirely her own. While it might not be immediately apparent, she’s transformed Led Zeppelin’s classic track Ramble On into a punchy electro-pop groove.
