ICON 4×4 has introduced a stripped-down version of its hand-built Toyota truck tribute. The FJ40 Roadster Edition is all about purity of experience. To trim weight, it has no doors, a fabric roof, and no A/C. But it still rocks a 6.2-liter GM V8 that makes 430hp, and a rugged, lifted suspension that’s ready to dominate any terrain.

Vehicle restoration shop Icon is introducing a sub-line to its Ford Bronco model, the Icon BR. The Old School BR will feature a more classic design, such as a glossy finish, a traditional Bronco grille, and other vintage details.

ICON founder Jonathan Ward showcases one of his company’s most oddball builds yet. It’s a Chevrolet Caprice that used to be cop car. The owner wanted it to be “under the radar but intimidating” and is filled with gadgets and travel gear.

After selling its 100th FJ, Icon came up with a proof of concept for future FJ models, with new parts such as a supercharged 540hp V8, custom Brembo brakes and custom Fox shocks. The vehicle will be displayed at the Petersen Automotive Museum.

A 1967 Camper with its original paint, hubcaps and a few interior parts, but improved with modern amenities such as USB charging ports, a Bluetooth stereo system and air conditioning. It runs on a 195 hp Jetta engine with Vanagon transmission.

Icon’s second Dodge D200 sits on a 2500 Mega Cab base and has a supercharged 5.7L Hemi, automatic transmission and enhanced suspension and exhaust. The matte green and black paint job is a wonderful combination of past and present.

Based on the Chevy 3100 Thriftmaster, this 2-door pickup truck marries old school looks with modern amenities, including a 5.3L V8 engine that produces 435hp and 458lb.ft. of torque, touchscreen dash and even a Wi-Fi router.

As part of its Reformers series, Icon restored a Dodge D200 Power Wagon, using the chassis of a Dodge 3500 Mega Cab as the base then cleaned up the old frame the ICON way. More here and here.

The superfast Icon Sheene offers a 1400cc Suzuki turbo engine with 250 horses and 133 lb/ft at the rear wheel and carbon fiber wheels and bodywork. Only 52 will be made for a mere $160K each.

While it looks like an old Willys Jeep, each ICON off-road vehicle is meticulously hand-built with new parts. The CJ3B outdoes Willy with much-improved handling and a GM Ecotec 210-hp engine.

An entertaining animated short from Icon Motosports with a visceral graphic novel appeal, illustrated by Lukas Ketner which features a few of their cool jacket and helmet styles too.

ICON’s Variant Helmet is a range (and head) topper: it sports an anti-lift, anti-glare visor, spoiler to reduce buffeting, oversized intake and exhaust ports, and EPS nose to reduce shield fogging.
