Awesome Hyperloop

While a full-scale version of the Hyperloop is a long way off, engineering teams have created costly scaled-down prototypes of Elon Musk’s envisioned high-speed railway. James from ProjectAir did things on an smaller scale, using off-the-shelf and 3D-printed parts with a shop vac to pull a model train along the outside and inside of an acrylic tube.

Elon Musk recently shared a brief, but awesome bit of footage shot from the POV of the prototype WARR Hyperloop pod, which set the speed record during the second SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition, hitting 324 km/h (~202 mph) as it zipped through the tube.

It may still just be in its infancy, but Hyperloop One is definitely making progress with their high-speed transportation system. They recently sent their mag-lev test capsule rocketing down its vacuum-sealed tube at a top speed of 192 mph. Their goal is 670 mph.
