Cole Paviour, James Medcraft, UNIT9, and Machine Shop teamed up to devise a fountain which “prints” 3D liquid images. Combined with camera gear from ARRI Rental and Mark Roberts Motion Control they turned the images into a stop-motion animation. BTS here.
Using a set of three light-up foam fountains, and splitting off left, right and mixed channels, YouTuber frankievis52 pulls of a rather nifty desktop lightshow set to the sounds of The Art of Noise.
Located at the Seaham Hall Spa outside of Newcastle, UK, this awe-inspiring fountain by William Pye has a continuously spinning vortex in the middle of it, which can be viewed from the side or above.
Stop for the time, but stay for the show as computerized jets controlling the flow of water display the time and neat designs in Osaka Station City’s clock fountain. (Thanks, Frederic!)
