Awesome Clint Eastwood

Clint Eastwood directed this retelling of the tragic story of the security guard who went from being lauded as a hero to being treated as a terrorist after the 1996 Centennial Olympic Park bombing in Atlanta. If ever there was a cautionary tale for irresponsible journalism, it’s this.

Tom Hanks plays Captain “Sully” Sullenberger, the brave and skilled pilot who saved 155 lives by safely landing his malfunctioning airliner in NYC’s Hudson River, and the distasteful investigation that ensued afterwards. Directed by the multitalented Clint Eastwood.

We always thought that Ed Asner was the perfect voice for Up’s Carl Fredriksen. That is, until we heard Clint Eastwood. Don’t mess with the grumpy old man, and most definitely stay off of his lawn.

Make your day with the Dirty Harry Collection (Blu-ray/DVD), due out 2/16/2010; it’s cheaper than the Ultimate Collection by leaving out extras, but still includes all five films.
