Replicating Oppenheimer’s Explosion Effects

Christopher Nolan is known for using practical effects instead of CGI when possible. For his epic Oppenheimer, the filmmaker and his VFX team used multiple in-camera techniques to create the nuclear reactions and the big blast. William H Baker and his friends wanted to see if they could replicate the effect with a minimal budget and no computer effects.
