The guys from COOPH put together this excellent tutorial video that shows techniques using powders, fluids, glass, and filters to capture crisp and detailed photos that seem to freeze time. Having a good flash and remote trigger can definitely help.

At Brickworld Chicago 2022, LEGO builder Jarren Harkema turned up with an amazing display – a castle with a blue-green water fountain that flows up and over its structure – except the water is LEGO diamonds moving on conveyor belts. Joshua Hanlon from Beyond the Brick’s gets us up close with this impressive creation.

The guys from Dude Perfect got together with archery trick shot artist James Jean to see how many Guinness World Records they could set. Many balloons and clay targets were harmed during the making of this video, but no humans were. Those over-under-over and S-curve shots were insane.

Animation Therapy paid tribute to Vince Gilligan and his team’s amazing 14-year run of some of the best television ever with a beautiful CGI short film that commemorates some of the series’ iconic props and locations.

The VR2 version of Sony’s PlayStation VR system features some big upgrades. Notably, it offers 4K resolution (via two 2000×2040 OLED displays), HDR, a 110º field-of-view, eye tracking, 3D surround sound, finger touch detection, headset vibration feedback, and more. Available in early 2023.

The Death Star trench run scene in Star Wars is one of the best action sequences ever – and it was created with practical effects. Star Wars fan Petr N replicated the scene by taking his FPV X-Wing drone for a treacherous flight through a drainage ditch. He’s also got a speeder bike.

Pokémon will recognize this character as the Blastoise – a big turtle with powerful water cannons under its shell. 3D Sanago crafted this statue of the turtle and rigged it to shoot steam from its cannons instead of water. He used a stone to provide a curved template for drawing the body with a 3D printing pen. Turn subtitles on.

If you’re looking for tips and techniques for shooting great photos, look no further than COOPH. Their YouTube channel is packed with great tutorials like this one which shows how to shoot a photo of a miniature Ford Mustang launched off a ramp. This shot required multiple exposures to layer in the sparks, smoke, and dust.

Peter Capaldi and Jessica Raine star in this series about a woman whose nightmares draw her into the hunt for a serial killer. But like all good psychological thrillers, not everything is what it seems. Given the mention of time travel, we’re convinced that Capaldi is an evil incarnation of Doctor Who.
