It took 56 people four years to build Gremlin Symphony inside Convergence Station, Denver. The room is an art installation made from trash sculpted around instruments that play themselves using robotics or can be played by a human. Reggie Watts got together with co-creator Meason Wiley to give it a test run.

LADbible interviewed Max Brandrett to learn about how his rough upbringing, life in the circus, and artistic talents led to a life of crime.

Artist and filmmakers Niall Shukla shows off Orion – an incredible portrait he created by cracking a single sheet glass. It took a lot of practice to perfect the technique, eventually tapping the glass over a thousand times to produce the 4.5-foot square portrait. He since sold it with an accompanying animated NFT.

Its tower has five smooth-glide drawers, while a cantilevered module has a drawer with a glass top. It measures a room-dominating 98.4″ w x 35.4″ d x 28.7″ h.

Inspired by the work of VILE/a>, Slovakian street artist DOKE took on a fun and difficult spray paint challenge. The goal? Create a photorealistic scene that makes it look like holes are cut through a wall so you can see the building, grass, and trees behind it. Of course, the illusion requires the light and viewing angle to be just right.

We’ve been following Tom BetGeorge’s Halloween light shows for more than a decade. Now that he’s moved to a new neighborhood, he’s got room for an even bigger spectacle. His 2022 show tops them all with new lighting effects and an army of illuminated drones displaying colorful images over his house.

Makers Simone Giertz and Laura Kampf were looking for inspiration for projects and came up with Build Dice. This set of aluminum dice helps set parameters for creative projects. The first cube has objects, the second has materials, and the third one has properties. They come in a handsome walnut display box.

JGVision Media used AI image-generation technology to create the haunting scenes in this video, set to the music and lyrics of Michael Jackson’s Thriller. Black Beard Projects shows off an interesting way to create a steel ring. The blacksmith started with a rusty bandsaw blade and chopped it up into flat pieces. He then welded, forged, and hammered them multiple times to create a Damascus pattern before twisting the metal into a cylinder and refining it into its final form.

LEGO has revealed a brick-built tabletop foosball table. Inspired by a fan-submitted design, the 2339-piece set is fully-playable. It comes with 22 Minifigures – 10 on the field and 12 cheering them on from the grandstand. 44 unique heads and wigs let you create players from many races and ethnicities. One figure even has vitiligo.

It’s amazing how water can be pressurized so much that it can cut through things. In this clip we spotted on the Tool Gifs subreddit, we get an up-close look at how a tightly-focused stream of water can cut incredibly precise shapes in stone. The footage does appear to have been sped up, though.

Makers Simone Giertz and Laura Kampf teamed up to release Build Dice – a fun gift item to inspire creativity through randomization. After giving the dice a few rolls, they decided to build a chair by recycling an old satellite dish. They cut and folded the metal to form a seat, then gave it hardwood arms and legs.

Inspired by Kirk Hammett’s Wavecaster and John 5’s lava lamp guitar, Astaremi built this custom electric guitar that’s filled with a mix of liquids with different viscosities that produce a colorful wave effect when shaken. He says it’s “heavy as hell,” and we sure hope it never springs a leak.

Adafruit Industries shows off a fun DIY project using oversize Kailh key switches to build three ginormous macro keys. The keys work just like the keys on a regular keyboard, only 64 times larger in volume. We want to see someone build an entire QWERTY keyboard with these things.

Adam from North of the Border answers another question that nobody was asking: What would a Pikachu look like if it was a real animal. So he got to work sculpting a snarling gerbil-bunny-rat hybrid with yellow flocking in place of fur. He used funky lights that bend like spaghetti for the lightning effect.
