The Ground Unmanned Support Surrogate (GUSS) is a US Marines proof-of-concept autonomous vehicle. It can be controlled remotely, follow its remote control, drive to a waypoint and operated like a normal vehicle.

Believe it or not, these objects are actually made from wood. Artist Tom Pfannerstill found some discarded and worn out packaging of everyday things and painstakingly recreated them out of basswood and paint.

Using Scantech’s SL 3D scanner and a 5-axis Breton CNC machine, they were able to precisely recreate a damaged stone gargoyle from Denmark’s Kronborg Castle. Imagine the work it would have taken to do the job by hand.
