Dodge doubles down on its commitment to muscle cars with an all-new Charger Daytona. In 2024, we’ll get pure-electric R/T, Scat Pack, and Scat Pack w/Track Pack models, while a gas-powered Hurricane turbo-6 model is coming in 2025. The sleek, wide ride will come in 2-door and 4-door versions, each with hatchback instead of a trunk.
Both the Charger Daytona R/T and Scat Pack have dual-motor, all-wheel drivetrains, with the R/T rated at 456 peak horsepower, and the Scat Pack producing 630 horses. A Power Shot mode bumps those to 496 and 670 horsepower, respectively. Peak torque is rated at 404 lb-ft. for the R/T and 627 lb-ft. for the Scat Pack. The upcoming inline-six-powered Charger SIXPACK S.O. (standard output) will make 420 horsepower, while the SIXPACK H.O. (high output) cranks out 550 horses.
Dodge says the Charger Daytona Scat Pack can zoom from 0 to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds with an 11.5 second 1/4-mile time. The R/T is no slouch with a 0-to-60 time of 4.7 seconds and a 1/4-mile time of 13.1 seconds. A large, 100.5 kWh battery pack provides good driving range too. The R/T can go 317 miles between charges and the Scat Pack has a 260-mile driving range.
Notable differences between the Scat Pack and Scat Pack w/ Track Pack include a stiffer suspension, dual-valve adaptive shocks, and enormous ventilated disc brakes, measuring 410 mm - or about 16.1" in diameter.
