Feeling down because of his less-than-ideal previous projects, Man Made sought to redeem himself with a significant undertaking that would also bring him inner peace. The result is a desk that doubles as a miniature zen garden. Aside from copious amounts of sand, it also has a bonsai tree, rock-like keyboard keys, and a beautiful chunk of obsidian.

The HoMedics Drift is a production version of those sand drawing machines we’ve seen before. This soothing and meditative gizmo uses a ball bearing to draw endless geometric patterns in the sand. It also has colorful RGB lighting, and its designs can be controlled via a companion mobile app. Available in 16″ and 21″ sizes.
