Awesome Xylophone

Music technologist and producer Jay Harrison built this machine he calls an Electromechanical Lithophone. It uses a series of servos and hammers to strike metal plates and play music. Sit back and enjoy as it performs Paul Simon’s You Can Call Me Al, along with ELO’s Mr. Blue Sky.

The multitalented Aaron Grooves and Jared Charney Cohen collaborated for this fun tap dance, piano, and xylophone performance of the “Athletic” theme music from Super Mario World. If you need a smile today, this video should do the trick.

5MadMovieMakers is playing with toy cars again. This time, they lined up a bunch of parallel Hot Wheels tracks with the bars from a xylophone, then launched a series of toy 65′ Ford Mustangs to play a little tune. It was done with some clever video editing, but it’s still fun to watch.
