LEGO Technic machine expert The Brick Wall created an amazing working sawmill that turns long logs into individual pieces of firewood. The wood is delivered on the back of a LEGO truck, then the factory cuts the wood into smaller logs, then splits them into quarters, ready for lighting.

These round cutting boards make a great gift for home chefs who enjoy music while cooking. Cutting Boredom’s walnut wood “vinyl” boards feature punny artwork like “Vanilla Slice”, “Feastie Boys Grill Communication”, and “N.W.A. Straight Outta Chompton.” They come in 10″ or 14″ sizes and can be custom engraved too.

After making a small parts organizer, Neil Paskin challenged fellow builder John Heisz of I Build It to create his own. John’s version has 18 swing-out “butterfly” drawers, each with dividers for keeping parts readily accessible. Other than the tiny set screws, he built it entirely from wood. LEGO teamed up with ROOM Copenhagen to create a collection of wooden home accessories inspired by LEGO bricks. The series includes stackable drawers, picture frames, book racks, and wall hangers. Maker Frank Howarth wanted to make a unique ceiling light to install over his dining table. After playing around with a simpler design, he decided to go with a three-panel design comprising CNC-cut wood slices based on the topography of the lunar surface. They also look like a Joy Division album cover.

Woodworker Frank Howarth keeps getting requests to create a globe of the Earth. He started with 3D modeling software to project the map onto triangle shapes, then cut each of them and assembled them into a faceted sphere before turning the whole works on a lathe. It took lots of trial and error, but the finished piece is amazing.

Woodworking Art adds to their vehicle collection by carving a Chevy Silverado HD pickup truck out of Fujian cypress wood. The miniature has working wheels, doors, liftgate, hood, steering, suspension, and steps. They also made a trailer to test its towing capacity, which is nowhere near the real truck’s 36,000 lb. max.

Accessory maker Bambetel takes the classic swing arm desk lamp and gives it a fresh new look by replacing many of its metal components with wood. It has three adjustable joints, a surface clamp, and its LED lamp head can rotate in any direction. Complete the look with one of their wooden desk organizers and wall clocks.

Ben from Woby Designs in an expert at making things by recycling skateboard decks. Watch how he made this awesome looking dining table by stacking thin slices from more than 30 skateboards on edge, nailing them together, and then sealing them with clear epoxy. The metal table legs came from Semi Exact.(Thanks Zico!)

Despite having only 50 to 400 pieces, Torched Products‘ diabolical laser-cut puzzles offers plenty of challenge. That’s because each of its wood pieces has similarly-shaped edges but only fit together in one configuration. The backside of each piece is stained darker, but that’s the only help you’re getting.

This wooden case provides an elegant foundation for your custom keyboard project. It comes in walnut or bamboo wood and has a built-in wrist rest. Over on Etsy, you can find a variety of bottle openers that have a Plinko-style drop mechanism. But Thompson Woodworks built the best version we’ve seen, combining the bottle opener with a Skittles dispenser that triggers only if you land your bottle cap in the proper tray at the bottom.
