Awesome Wingsuit

Skydivers Fred Fugen, Vincent “Veush” Cotte, and Aurélien “Bras Noir” Chatard set a world record for the longest terrain-flying wingsuit line, zooming over Mont Blanc, France in formation for 7.5 km (4.66 mi.) They captured POV footage of the incredible flight using a GoPro MAX action camera. You can also watch the flight in VR.

Many of the extreme sports videos out there are filled with edits, music, and post-production sweetening. If you prefer yours raw and uncut, you’ll love this smooth and serene clip from Dom.e featuring a first-person wingsuit flight from more than 13,000 feet up along the Hornli Ridge at Switzerland’s Matterhorn.

Made by three game design students, Superflight lets is a wingsuit flying game with procedurally generated maps. Aim for a high score by flying near or even through the mountains. Or you can just enjoy the rush of the wind and the supernatural sights.

Extreme athlete Graham Dickinson shared his recent wingsuit flight from France’s Le Brévent mountain not to show off, but to point out the skill of his buddy Dario Zanon, who shot this video and kept up with Graham the whole way.

Wingsuit flyer Sebastian Alvarez just gets more and more daring. His latest stunt had him smashing head first into what appears to be a small styrofoam board, which was held aloft by two of his bravest buddies on top of a mountain.

Team Betsafe skydivers Espen Fadnes and Bjørn Magne Bryn pulled off a perfectly coordinated jump in which one of the men wore a wingsuit and allowed the other to stand on his back for over 20 seconds while approaching with his canopy.

Scotty Bob shares one of his latest death-defying wingsuit adventures. This time he skimmed over a mountain and whizzed past a narrow opening among trees. Or whatever those green things are that YouTube seems to have censored.

Joining in the great tradition of wingsuit flyers going through narrow gaps, Sebastian Alvarez zoomed into a 39ft. space between two buildings after being dropped from a paraglider. The song is Röyksopp’s Keyboard Milk.

When Dogs Fly is an upcoming documentary by BASE jumper, wingsuit flyer and filmmaker Dean S. Potter. It’s about Dean’s dog Whisper, who regularly accompanies him on his adventures and stunts.

In this awesome footage from Epic TV’s new series A Straight Shot, pilot Dan Vicary flies over the powdery Swiss Alps, while tailed just eight feet behind by cameraman Brian Drake in his own squirrel suit.

Wingsuit pilot Brian Drake flies insanely close to the ground along the dangerously steep Couloir de l’Ensa in the French Alps. Fortunately, the winds were just right to keep him from smashing into the rocks just beneath him.

“Just a bunch a dudes, tryin’ to be birds.” So goes the understatement of the year from Robert “Scotty-Bob” Morgan about this death-defying wingsuit flight through a narrow gap in a canyon in Utah. Sir, no bird is as insane as you are.

To comemmorate the 60th anniversary of the first ascent to Mt. Everest, 48-year old Valery Rozov jumped off from the north face of Mt. Everest, 23,680 ft above sea level. Skip to 2:45 for the jump.
