Awesome Whips

Unless you’re into that sort of thing, you never want to be on the business end of a whip. After learning how to use a bullwhip, YouTuber Mike Shake wanted to know if making one out of stronger, heavier materials would make the whip more powerful. It’s not as easy to wield a chain whip, but it’s definitely more dangerous.

Maker DiesInEveryFilm wanted to see a sword with a flexible blade could be as effective as a straight blade. He created his unusual weapon by machining a custom blade, cutting it into segments, sliding them onto a length of aircraft cable, and welding them into place. The result is a bit floppy but still dishes out damage.

In the right hands, a whip can be an incredibly painful and precise weapon. But most of the whips we’ve seen are made from leather or paracord. This TikTok clip posted by masterlolik_yt shows how a heavy length of chain can be even more dangerous as a whip as it literally makes oranges explode on contact. More here.

Whip expert Adam Winrich broke the Guinness World Record for the longest whip crack ever recorded. He managed to send a wave down the length of a 238 foot long manila rope, resulting in a crack all the way at its end. It took almost 6 seconds to reach the tip.
