Artist Neil Mendoza created a rather silly installation which uses hamster power to perform a single, repetitive task – drawing a picture of a hamster. The machine works its magic by following an outline into a turning piece of turning plywood..

Neil Thapen’s fantastically weird time-waster web app lets you control the the shape of a virtual nose, palate, mouth, lips, tongue, and voicebox, in order to create your own humanoid sounds. With enough practice, you can make it say stuff, sorta.

It may look a little bit like a sideways stargate, but this robot is designed to carefully position itself around a Jenga stack, methodically pluck out a wooden block, and move it to the top of the stack. We’d be curious to see if it could play an entire game, but we’re guessing not.

This guy on a Chinese TV show turns in what is arguably the strangest performance of Adele’s Rolling in the Deep that we’ve ever heard. We don’t know whether to give him a standing ovation, or just stare at the screen like a deer caught in the headlights.

(Gross) It’s an age old story of a girl falling in love with her one true soulmate – except in this case, her significant other just happens to be creepy alien creature. Oh Yeah Wow’s video for Millington’s jangly love song starts out silly, and ends like a horror film.

Tilda Swinton reteams with Snowpiercer director Bong Joon Ho for this sci-fi drama about a young girl who must protect a mysterious creature from being exploited by a creepy corporation, who genetically engineers foods for fun and profit. On Netflix 6/28/17.

If you think Bob Ross should always be painting happy little trees, you might want to look away from Alexander Reben’s horrifying clip, in which they ran footage from The Joy of Painting through deep-learning audio and video processing software. The brown acid is bad.

It might look ridiculous, but this mask does serve a useful purpose. The Hushme uses masks your voice during phone calls, letting you make private calls without prying ears listening in. It can also cover up sounds with everything from Darth Vader to a squirrel.

Paradigm is a hilarious point-and-click adventure set in a post-apocalyptic world filled with mutants, including a pug with a mullet, a giant sloth, a human duck, and whatever its eponymous protagonist is supposed to be. PC & Mac demos available here. Drops 4/5/17.

One of the stranger cooking machines we’ve seen – this thing takes in grain, salt, and water, then applies heat and pressure to make rice crackers. The resulting explosion causes them to fly out of its mouth like jet-powered frisbees. Here’s a similar machine.

We’re thinking this video in which a woman stops what she’s doing at work and turns her PC into an impromptu pancake griddle is sort of like the Chinese equivalent of HowtoBasic. Though the result of her cooking looks far more appealing than that channel’s food stuffs.

(PG-13) A hilariously weird parody of those “It’s Refreshment Time” shorts they used to play before and between movies at drive-in theaters. It starts out normally enough, but gets dark really quick. Your nightmares send their regards.

Footage of a totally superfluous, but nonetheless cool ceiling fan design which automatically unfurls its blades as it gets up to speed. Looks like its actually a fan called the Fanimation Air Shadow if you want to buy one.

YouTube channel Sync Fu was designed with a single purpose – to combine kung fu and action scenes with wildly out of place music. We’re not sure why it works, but it often does. Ouf favorite is Casshern vs. Mr. Roboto, but Lone Wolf and Cub vs. In The Air Tonight is perfect too.

Aldo Jones turns his insane mind towards the trailer for Marvel’s latest Spider-Man flick, filling the new Peter Parker’s universe with talking cats, DC characters, a fart-powered jet suit, and all the wrong Avengers.
