SkyCaliber is a crazy new waterslide coming to Vernon, New Jersey’s Action Park in 2016. The ride stands 90 feet tall, and sends riders through a loop de loop in a special capsule at speeds up to 50mph. Apparently, they tried this before.
As part of NASA’s 3D camera project, astronauts at the International Space Station made a softball-sized ball of water – thanks to the low gravity in the space station – and submerged a GoPro camera inside the ball. 3D video here.

Software developers have long struggled to incorporate realistic water into video games. As video chips become more powerful, and engineers create better digital models, we might soon be seeing water that looks this good.
