The 2025.5 XC90 is better than ever, with a fresh front-end design, dynamic new wheels, a significantly enhanced suspension, a streamlined dashboard, and a bigger screen with a much-improved Google built-in multimedia system. The Volvo EX90 is the Swedish automaker’s new three-row electric SUV that joins the line alongside the gas-powered XC90. We spent some time getting to know the Twin Motor Performance model, which is the fastest and most powerful of the lineup. Complementing its modern and minimalist design is an impeccably smooth, quiet, and refined ride.

The guys from car care company AMMO NYC heard about a 1991 Volvo 240 wagon that’s been sitting in the woods since 2007. Its exterior was covered in a thick coating of lichen and mud, and its interior was a smelly, rodent-infested disaster. With the help of Rebuild Rescue, can they bring the car back to its former glory?

Volvo Trucks celebrates the launch of four new models, the FMX, the FH, the FH16, and the FM by stacking all four of the trucks together then driving them with brand President Roger Alm atop the impressive pile. The behind the scenes video is worth a watch too.

Volvo takes its already fun and stylish XC40 compact crossover, and makes it even more appealing, offering up a fully-electric model with an AWD powertrain, making 408hp, and zooming from 0-to-62 in 4.9 sec. It’s expected to have a range of about 248 mi, and can charge to 80% in 40 minutes on a fast-charger.

A stunning, pure electric car from Volvo’s performance spin-off, the Polestar 2 is a 5-door fastback with dual motors, making 408hp, 487 lb-ft. of torque, going 0-to-62mph in under 5 sec., and a target range up to 275 mi. The 2020 launch edition runs $63K, minus tax breaks.

Volvo is working on Vera, a system of autonomous trucks for short-range jobs, such as those needed in ports or logistics facilities. At the heart of the system is an autonomous vehicle that communicates with other units for safety and efficiency.

“Why fly when you can be driven?” That is the driving question behind Volvo’s electric and autonomous concept car. The 360c is meant as an alternative to short plane trips, letting you work, relax, and even sleep in a spacious cabin while the car drives itself.

Volvo’s Polestar spin-off is showing off their first standalone vehicle, a fantastic looking sports coupe powered by a 600 hp hybrid drivetrain with 737 lb-ft. of torque, a lightweight body made from carbon fiber composite and steel, and an Öhlins adaptive suspension.

Volvo aims at the BMW X1, Audi Q2 and Mercedes-Benz GLA with its own compact SUV. The XC40 has many of the safety and infotainment technologies found in Audi’s bigger SUVs. It will also be the first vehicle to be featured in Volvo’s flat-fee leasing service.

To show off the precision and predictability of their powertrains, Volvo Trucks turned one of their big rigs into a tow boat for a paraglider. Watch flyer Guillaume Galvani and driver Louise Marriott work in perfect harmony to pull off this dangerous stunt without a hitch.

The normally tame Volvo S60 sedan and V60 wagon get a big boost from Polestar, bumping them to 367hp, reducing weight, and tuning the all-wheel drive and 8-speed gearbox for performance. The Swedish Racing Green paint instantly makes them faster too.

To demonstrate their durability and traction control system, Volvo Trucks put Sophie, a 4 year-old girl behind the wheel of an 18-ton truck, and asked her to drive it through a challenging obstacle course. For safety’s sake, she used a remote control. Thank goodness.

Volvo gives us a glimpse of its future haulers, which will act much like our mobile devices. These trucks can automatically download updates in real time, change their internal specs to suit the job or the driver, schedule trips to the mechanic and more.
