Awesome Volcano

On March 19, 2021, Iceland’s Fagradalsfjall volcano started erupting for the first time in over 6,000 years. Drone pilot Björn Steinbekk captured this incredible aerial footage of the searing hot lava as it flows from top of the geological marvel. We’re impressed that the drone survived the intense heat. Despite a temperature of over 1500°F under its moving crust, this man has the cojones to walk quickly across the surface of this smoldering lava flow. At least he had shoes on, but we’re still surprised those survived.

Geoff Mackley, Bradley Ambrose and Nathan Berg descended to the lava lake of the Marum volcano in Vanuatu, becoming the first people to ever come this close – about 98ft – to the scorching lake.
