The way that Venom comes to life from a pile of black ooze is awesomely creepy. JLaservideo wanted to replicate the effect in real life and figured out the best way to do it was to create a suit from 100,000 neodymium magnets and latex, then let ferrofluid do the rest of the work.
In the follow up to the 2018 popcorn flick, Venom, Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock attempts to adapt to his split personality. Just as he’s getting back to living, he encounters Woody Harrelson’s terrifying Carnage, an alien symbiote who takes up residence in the body of a psychopathic serial killer. In theaters 9.24.2021.
Yeah, after watching the latest trailer for Venom, we have no idea how he sees without pupils and irises either. The guys at Evil Ice Cream Pictures did their best “there, I fixed it” job on the Marvel anti-hero by giving him the gift of sight. Well, it’s better than googly eyes.
Our first look at Venom had people wanting more of the alien symbiote. The second trailer does just that – perhaps too much. Watch it to see Eddie Brock team up with his bloodthirsty friend, and a surprising hint of levity that was also not evident in the first trailer.
