Awesome V12

Aston Martin’s V12-powered beast drops its top with the 2026 Vanquish Volante. It’s the world’s most potent front-engine convertible, with more than 823 hp and 737 lb-ft. of torque, a 214 mph top speed, and a 0-to-62 mph time of 3.4 seconds. Its motorized K-fold roof opens in 14 seconds, closes in 16 seconds, and can be operated at speeds up to 31 mph.

F1 driver Fernando Alonso commissioned Aston Martin to create the ultimate front-engine road car. The street-legal Valiant looks incredible, is bonkers quick, and sounds fantastic, thanks to its 734 hp 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 engine and manual gearbox. It rolls on magnesium wheels, has titanium quad exhaust, and has a track-quality suspension.

With all of the buzz about electric sports cars, Ferrari isn’t giving up on internal combustion engines quite yet. Sporting an atypically futuristic look, the 12Cilindri 2-seater is powered by a naturally-aspirated V12 engine with 818 hp and a 9500 RPM redline. Designed with aerodynamics and downforce in mind, it will also come in a sexy drop-top model.

Aston Martin will make just 110 of this gorgeous sports car to celebrate its 110th anniversary. Its 5.2L twin-turbo V12 engine produces 705 hp and 555 lb-ft. of torque, and offers maximum driver engagement with a custom 6-speed manual transmission. It has adaptive dampers, anti-roll bars for sharp handling, and carbon ceramic brakes for serious stopping power.

As Lamborghini moves towards hybrid drivetrains, it bids farewell to its incredible V12 engine with two one-off specials. Based on the carbon fiber Aventador monocoque, the dramatically angular Invencible Coupé and Auténtica Roadster are powered by a 6.5L rear-mounted V12 making 769 hp, with four-wheel drive and four-wheel steering.

The Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro is an insanely powerful race car with a 6.5-liter V12 engine that revs to 11,000 RPM and makes 1000 hp. This amazing clip shows the meticulous handcrafting of a tiny V12 motor. How tiny? The crankshaft could fit in your palm and the cylinders are only 11.3mm wide. It’s alive at about 8:07.
