For the last month of 2022, the list included some great knives like the Spyderco Para 3 and Benchmade 940 Osborne, along with the handy Ti Pocket Pro pen, and versatile Gerber Suspension-NXT multitool. This value-priced pocket knife from Kershaw features a SpeedSafe assisted-opening mechanism for quick, one-handed deployment, and a liner lock for securing it once its blade is open. Microcarry is back with a new variant of their Pill keychain tool. The Pill XL is 30% larger, improving grip and leverage. It has a longer and more steeply-angled blade for improved cutting, and is great for opening packages, removing tags, and cutting zip ties. It comes with a quick-release clip with an optional paracord keychain.

Hand Tool Rescue came across Michael Volpe’s 1919 patent for an insane multi-wrench. The concept for the hand tool was that it could turn just about every imaginable fastener. He decided to make a replica of the impractical wrench in hopes that one day he might find every kind of fastener it can tighten.

Virginia-based Teale Designs makes this unique driver set which houses up to six bits in its cutout slots. Its brass-covered stainless steel body has two magnetic driver positions – one at its tip and another on its side. It has a key ring/lanyard hole and comes with six USA-made bits and a mini S-biner clip.

A compact pocket knife is something everyone should have with them. These EDC tools can cut through rope, open packages, and protect you in emergencies. This Swedish-made fixed-blade knife was designed to go from the city to the backcountry and everywhere in between. We can’t think of a practical use for a vise you can fit between your fingertips, but that doesn’t make this tiny vise any less impressive. W&M Levsha created the micro tool by milling shapes from a small block of metal, drilling holes for its mechanism, then fitting it together with a teensy threaded rod and handle to make it work.
