Installing tiles in a bathroom sounds like a fairly mundane task, but this TikTok video posted by mishauspeh1980 proves that a job well done can be incredibly satisfying to watch. Every step of the process is so smooth in this time-lapse clip, from applying cement to cutting holes to placing each tile precisely with the help of suction cups and spacers.

Primitive Technology’s latest construction project is impressive. He started with an empty patch of dirt, some sticks, reeds, and leaves and used those to build an A-frame structure. After completing the shelter, he gathered clay from the river and some old shards, then hand-formed dozens of roof tiles. Of course, he built his own kiln for firing the tiles.

Sometimes, the best place to hide valuables isn’t under lock and key, but someplace thieves would never think to look. Crafty Panda shows off a neat idea for a pull-out safe that hides beneath a floor tile. It requires cutting a big hole in your floor, but once it’s installed, you’d never know it was there.

Russian home renovator and tile installer Masterplitka shows off a really impressive bit of construction from one of their bathroom projects. At first glance, this looks like an ordinary tile-covered wall, but it’s quickly revealed that a section is concealing hidden pipes and valves, presumably for a steam shower.
