Awesome Tie Fighter

Geeki Tikis makes all kinds of wonderful tiki mugs inspired by pop culture. Their Star Wars collection is quite extensive and includes this awesome ceramic mug that looks like a TIE fighter. It holds up to 24 oz. of your favorite Star Wars cocktail. They also make a Death Star tiki mug for tipsy fly-bys.

When somebody says they’re going to build a cardboard model of a Star Wars ship, we assume it would be something you could fit on a bookshelf. But cardboard artist Bodoc likes to make things at a slightly larger scale. This time-lapse video shows how he created a 1/2-scale version of a crashed TIE advanced X1 fighter out of shipping boxes.

The TIE fighters from Star Wars are some of the most intimidating spacecraft in the history of science fiction. Scott’s Mini Workshop celebrates the Empire’s starfighter by encasing it in resin, then turning it into a perfect sphere on his lathe. He’s also made an X-Wing fighter sphere using the same technique.
