Whether you loved or hated The Last Jedi, most of us can agree that the fight sequence in Snoke’s Throne Room was pretty awesome. Here, Mr. Sunday Movies brilliantly recreated the scene as if it were played out on a Super Nintendo or Sega Genesis console.

Whether or not you loved The Last Jedi, you’ve got to hand it to the effects departments for their work on the film. While we assumed the Vulptex (aka “crystal foxes”) were CGI, it turns out they built an amazing animatronic puppet for close-ups, then scanned it for digital use.
The first full-length trailer for Episode VIII is already stirring up controversy, with director Rian Johnson suggesting that you don’t watch it if you don’t like spoilers, then backpedaling on his suggestion. That said, we put it here without having watched it. View at your own peril.
During this year’s D23 Expo, one of the many things Disney dropped was this cool 3-minute reel that teases us with on-set footage from Star Wars Episode VIII, including glimpses at the sets, costumes, creatures, and cast. Damn, we’re gonna miss Carrie Fisher.
Our first glimpse at Episode VIII picks up right where The Force Awakens left off, with Rey on a mysterious island, and hints at her learning to use her powers much like Luke learned from Yoda. But perhaps her role isn’t to be a Jedi, but to restore order to The Force.
