Awesome The Doors

For the first minute or so of this video, we thought it really was a Doors cover. Then the lyrics kick in and it’s clearly Metallica. Musician Denis Pauna seamlessly blends two very different styles of rock music in his remake of Enter Sandman. It’s a slow burn, but a hot one.

Musician David Bennett performs accurate recreations of classic songs. After impressing us with his version of A Day in the Life, he teamed up with vocalist Guy Bangham to produce a spot-on version of The Doors’ Riders on the Storm. The Rhodes V8 virtual keyboard helped recreate the sound of Ray Manzarek’s keyboard.

The very talented Scott Bradlee took The Doors’ 1967 classic People Are Strange, and put his own unique spin on it. His old-timey arrangement feels like it would be right at home on the saloon’s player piano in Westworld, as a pair of hosts fight over a poker game.

Musician Luna Lee’s latest gayageum arrangement transforms The Doors 1970 classic Riders on the Storm into a wonderfully nuanced, mystical experience which suits the nature of the original track beautifully.
