Awesome The Buggles

Mixing Guns N’ Roses and The Buggles might not seem like an obvious thing to do. But it turns out that Sweet Child O’ Mine and Video Killed the Radio Star go together like peanut butter and jelly. DJ Cummerbund created this brief mashup of the seemingly mismatched tunes for his live shows, but we’d love to hear a full-length version of the track.

For those unfamiliar with the One Hacker Band, it’s a roomful of electromechanical musical instruments created and programmed by Aaron Todd. For this performance, he programmed his robotic band to play Video Killed the Radio Star, the 1979 Buggles song that launched MTV and kicked off the music video era.
