Awesome Tag Heuer

Swiss watchmaker TAG Heuer collaborated with Intel to develop a smartwatch that doesn’t look like a geek toy. It features a round touchscreen display running Android Wear, and a titanium case. It offers realistic faces, with information displays neatly integrated into the dials.

This watch was brought to the International Space Station by SpaceX last May 2012, 50 years after the first TAG Heuer timepiece was brought to space by John Glenn in 1962. Limited to 2,012 units.

Tag Heuer used a new mechanical regulator to create a timepiece that beats 7.2 million times per hour – well above the average of 28,800 – making it accurate up to 1/2,000th of a second. More here.

The Carrera Mikrograph has an astonishingly accurate central chronograph hand that displays time at intervals of 1/100th of a second. The rose gold edition is limited to 150 pieces only.
