Made by UK outfit Direct Wood Co. this wooden workbench packs up flat when not in use. Its cutouts allow it to be set at three different heights, and its lid is covered with 20mm holes that can be used for holding clamps or bench dogs. Remove the top, and its legs can be used as saw horses. Its surface measures appx. 51″ x 28.3″.

Sobro’s Smart Side Table is packed with electronics. One of its two drawers is a thermoelectric cooler. It also has Bluetooth speakers, a motion-sensing nightlight, RGB LED backlighting, a wireless charging pad, two 120V power outlets, two USB-A, and two USB-C charging ports.

ProudPyro’s picnic table kit lets you build your own outdoor furniture with a unique, modern design. Its curved metal plates have cutouts which hold 2×6 boards for the top and seats, along with 2x4s for the supports. It includes all of the steel parts necessary for assembly – just bring your own wood and screws.

The AdapTableTop is a modular tabletop system that lets you build gaming surfaces of varying colors, sizes, and heights. Its platforms attach to interlocking towers which let you place cards, drinks, game pieces, and other accessories under your game board. All kits include .STL models for 3D printing unique thematic legs.

Woodworker Lignum has made some pretty cool furniture over the years, and this build is among his most intriguing. He created this table by laminating together blocks of wood then scorching it with a torch to give it the look that a fire burnt its insides out. We imagine it smells like a campfire too.

Bora’s lightweight, folding workstands provide a stable structure when open, but fold up small for carrying. They work with the included clamps and clips to secure plywood or 2x4s to its top. Available in 4×4, 4×8, 2×4, and 2×2 variants, each including a carrying bag. If there’s any question about how strong they are, watch this.

These days, many people without a home office space are using their dining tables to get work done at home. Builder Laura Kampf shows us how she built a custom plywood dining table that has a large hidden storage compartment that transforms into an angled stand for tablets or smartphones.

This substantial wooden dining room table seats up to six adults, and doubles as a surface for serious tabletop game fans. Underneath its removable center leaves is a 4″ sunken playing space, which remains undisturbed while dining. Around its perimeter are indentations for game cards and tokens, along with sunken cupholders.

Electronics geeks would love to have a table like the one that New Yorkshire Workshop made. Watch as the artist painstakingly applies gold leaf to produce jumbo metal circuit board traces on a dyed-blue maple veneer, then gives it a nice shiny clear coat. Studio Job designed this bold piece of furniture that doubles as a seat and a small side table, while adding a splash of Mexican culture to any space. Measures appx 17.7″ tall, and comes in black, green, terracotta, and ivory. Cast from polyethylene, so it weighs just 7.7 lb.

(PG-13: Language) Maker Simone Giertz took a page of the old improv handbook, and asked viewers to toss out ideas of things for her to make out of other things. Her first challenge: make a piece of furniture out of 20,000 matches. Since she built it out of metal, the table still remains after setting it ablaze.

Maker Chris Salomone loved the idea of river and ocean tables. But he was sick of seeing the same materials – glass and wood – used over and over again. So he made a river table that uses concrete as the land and LEGO pieces as the river.

Designed by Marcus Ødegaard Voraa, this prototype dining table provides a unique way to expand its tabletop. Rather than requiring leaves to be added or removed, simply slide the end of its base and unroll more or less wood for its top. There’s no indication that it’s gone into production, but you can always contact its creator.

We’re not sure if the surface of a ping pong table made from concrete and rebar is ideal for gameplay, but Modustrial Maker’s heavy duty outdoor table build still looks amazing, especially with its LED under-lighting and light-up net, and set against the desert sunset.

Maker Laura Kampf shows off the sturdy workbenches that she uses in her shop, then mods one to make it even better. It turns out that these tables were designed first and foremost as stage platforms. While we haven’t been able to find the used deals Laura mentioned, we did find some brand new ones.

The perfect side table for any home theater is made using vintage Goldberg Brothers 35mm film reels. Its center pedestal is made from poly plastic, painted to match the reels in silver, gold, or bronze, and the 20″ glass top provides a smooth surface. OSO DIY created this stunning coffee table using baltic birch plywood for its construction. But rather than attempt to hide the layers of the wood, he built it to show off its endgrain in a beautiful herringbone pattern. We really love the way the grain looks on the edges and the legs.

Etsy seller PurpleWires takes ordinary coffee tables and makes them extraordinary coffee tables. Choose from tables which light up with rainbow colored animations, or even let you play Tetris or Snake. Our only concern is shipping the furniture all the way from Ukraine.

These coffee tables are each made from a wheel of a Boeing 737 or 747 airliner. The wheel is mounted on a base that lets it spin on its original bearings. Touch of Modern is offering big discounts on this upcycled furniture.

Society6 lets artists sell their work on apparel, phone cases, mugs and more. The company recently branched out to bigger things, namely furniture. Its customizable coffee table measures 35.75″x 17.75″x 17″ and is made of baltic birch and steel.

We’ve seen a couple of tables that can be transformed into shelves, but the Aiko is by far the most affordable one yet. It can be used as a table, a fully-upright bookshelf, or as a semi-open display shelf.
