Awesome Supercuts

As time marches on, it seems our penchant for quoting the best lines of favorite Seinfeld episodes is fading. We’ve flipped the script though and are getting our fill once again, thanks to this supercut from the WorldWideInterweb.

Filmnørdens Hjørne put together this awesome compilation of fifty different movie car chases, stitching them together into one epic chase sequence. The soundtrack and editing does a great job building suspense and setting the pace.

YouTuber Shawn Kohne compiled clips of Jim Carrey falling down, from his standup career, his In Living Color stint and his many movies, both good and bad. The bathroom scene in Liar Liar will never get old.

Robert Jones picks up where he left off, with another intense, in-your-face edit of 82 more awesome movie fight sequences. This time, his choice of music is The Prodigy’s all too appropriate Smack My Bitch up.

Movie fanatic Roman Holiday returns with a montage of scenes which are shot from the perspective of the inside of a refrigerator. It’s far from comprehensive, so he plans on extending the montage based on comments over on Vimeo.

(PG-13 Language) If Aaron Sorkin has his go to phrases, the writers of The Wire had a simpler quirk: rhetorical tautologies, or redundant statements such as “the game is the game”, “what happens happens” and “once you in it, you in it.”

SuperCut Videos compiled this 1-minute reel of scenes from movies in which one character deals out a moving facepalm to another. Too bad they didn’t have enough time for this one.

(Gore, PG-13 Language) Editor Jacob T. Swinney’s latest supercut takes a look at the ample quantities of blood found in the films of Quentin Tarantino. Seriously, the guy must get a discount on Karo syrup and red food coloring.

Red Letter Media’s movie trailer version of Groundhog Day is a cynical supercut that points out the elements of Hollywood action movie trailers. It starts out funny, but it snowballs into a sickening blob of formulaic spectacle.

(Gore) Wes Anderson is no Quentin Tarantino, but his films can get pretty brutal too, as shown here in Dávid Velenczei’s supercut. Willem Dafoe was such a badass in The Grand Budapest Hotel.

(PG-13 Language) William H. Macy is one of our favorite actors. He’s made a career out of playing horribly broken people, like Fargo’s Jerry Lundegaard and Little Bill in Boogie Nights. Here’s a look at some of his most desperate moments.

Clara Darko edited this highlight reel of 60 of the greatest sword and saber fights in the history of the movies. From The Princess Bride to Seven Samurai to Star Wars to Kill Bill, it’s 4 minutes of swashbuckling that builds to an epic crescendo.

While some of you got to witness some awesome New Year’s Eve fireworks displays, many of us stayed in for the night and missed out. Here’s our consolation prize – a supercut of some of the most memorable explosions in the history of film.

(NSFW: Gore, Language) JoBlo’s not so merry look at Christmas movies, in which Santa Claus shirks his duties as the jolly old man spreading holiday cheer, and instead descends into the deepest pits of darkness. Bad Santa! Bad!

(NSFW) Conan caps off its strongest year yet with this wild montage of its skits, interviews, mishaps and all the weird sounds that come out of its host. Though now we feel kinda cheated that the show isn’t this crazy.

While we don’t yet have the first official trailer for SPECTRE – the next James Bond film – that didn’t stop Bond fan Brad Hansen from creating his own trailer, using only bits of classic Bond footage. It could also be the teaser for Austin Powers 4.

While not all of the 197 movies featured in The Sleepy Skunk’s latest supercut of trailers was a classic, there’s no question that his editing skills are top notch, and watching trailers can be a form of entertainment in its own right.

So you’ve just painted some happy little trees. Now it’s time to wash your brushes. paavi2005 created this supercut of Bob Ross cleaning out his brush – a pastime he claimed help get his frustrations out. Just beat the devil out of it!

Seinfeld stands the test of time better than any other classic TV comedy. In this supercut by editor Alex Moschina, he stitched together the many times where Kramer took advantage of Jerry’s well-stocked kitchen.

Roman Holiday presents a supercut of scenes in which the camera is mounted in-front of the car, and we see a pair of driving companions through the windshield. It’s amazing how much this simple setup can tell you about the characters.

It is said the eyes are the windows to the soul, and the late, great director Alfred Hitchcock had quite a way with eyes. Though most of the peepers shown in Kogonada’s tribute to Hitch reveal dark, disturbed and fearful souls behind them.
