It’s been a decade since the last mainline Metal Gear Solid game, and we’re probably never getting a new one. But it looks like Konami is done with lazy cash grabs. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is an upcoming remake of MGS 3 that seeks to overhaul the graphics and make the controls smoother without touching the over-the-top spy vibe and story.

Real Engineering traces the interesting origin of the Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk, the first functional stealth aircraft. Ironically, its iconic diamond shape and faceted design came from a Soviet mathematician’s paper. But the engineers at Lockheed also did their part, coming up with more unorthodox solutions for the unusual plane’s radar-defying needs.
