Awesome Speakers

German shop Soundpauli turns old speakers into portable ones, with a 3.5mm textile-wrapped cable to connect to a music player. They last up to 30 hours on 6 AA batteries but you can also plug them in via their AC adapter.

This upcoming product from Quirky is a thoughtfully designed Bluetooth stereo. Slide its two speakers apart to reveal a dock for iOS devices, with both 30-pin and Lightning connectors. Its handle also serves as a stand.

A backpack and portable sound system in one. Just like Solid Gray’s other backpacks, the Bass-pack is made of lightweight yet durable plastic. It also has a foam-lined interior. No word on price or release date yet.

The Kendall only has a couple of 2″ speakers and 5W amps, but its solid walnut case and retro design are a nice alternative to the sporty or modern look of other Bluetooth speakers.

People People has opened a Kickstarter fundraiser for producing the Transparent Speaker. It has a 6.5″ subwoofer, two 3″ drivers, a DSP-enabled amp and a USB port for Bluetooth or Wi-Fi adapters.
