Awesome Short Films

Construct is a short science fiction film created by VFX/CG supervisor Kevin Margo that showcases advancements in computer generated graphics hardware and software. We’re looking forward to seeing the film in its entirety.

Director Anton Chistiakov’s award-winning short film is about a solitary robot programmed to sell ice cream. He lives a lonely and bleak existence, but finds solace in his unexpectedly vivid imagination. Beautifully animated and poignant.

Photographer Ernest Goh talks about the subject of his latest book: ornamental chickens. To document these unusual models, Ernest went around Malaysia, where chicken beauty pageants are held nearly every week across the country.

Superman finds a GoPro and decides to have fun with it before returning it to its owner. Corridor Digital presents a day in the Man of Steel’s life from his point of view. Hey lady, Clark’s eyes are up here!

Another short film by Kogonada, exploring the unique style of director Wes Anderson, his propensity for symmetry and perfect centering of his subjects throughout his films. The track is The New Lobby Boy by Alexandre Desplat.

You find yourself walking at the same exact speed as another person on the sidewalk, and something just feels off. In their short film, Daniel Koren and Vania Heymann do a brilliant job capturing this inner thought many of us share.

Grantland presents the story of a man who played a perfect game… of minigolf. He pulled it off at a tournament, but still. Part 30 for 30, part The Onion, the documentary is as hilarious as it is sad. Strangely compelling stuff.
