Adidas’ newest Tubular model borrows the silhouette of basketball high tops. The Tubular Invader’s upper is mostly made of suede with synthetic leather on its heel. Our only complaint about it is that it only comes in red/white for now.

Made by Rancourt & Co. for Tanner Goods, the Court Classic Mid pairs the definitive basketball sneaker silhouette with Horween Natural Essex leather and a honey Vibram outsole for a smart casual look. It also has brass eyelets and horsehide lining.

Adidas continues to refresh its classic models with knit uppers. But it’s hard to fault them with results like this. The Very Spezial’s extremely light and breathable one-piece upper comes in blue, gray and black.

The flamboyant shoes that Scottie Pippen wore en route to helping the 95-96 Bulls to its 72-10 record. The Air More Uptempo completes its comeback with a dope new colorway, pairing an all white leather upper with a gum outsole. Drops 7/2016 for $160.

Zonkey’s new Zerofoureight.editon aka Shrunken Bull boots have uppers that are each made from a single piece of bull shoulder leather, which shrinks when it’s tanned. The result is a powerful pattern that actually feels as smooth as suede.

Sneaker makers are slinging retros left and right, but one of the year’s dankest drops is a one-off made by two Nike fans. Sherman Winfield and Andrew Weiss ruined MJ’s three-peat era Air Jordan VIII’s by adding his infamous crying face on its tongue and sole.

PUMA embellishes its black suede sneakers with a shiny metallic splatter that’s sure to draw eyeballs to your feet. While you could attempt the same thing with a can of silver spray paint, we’re saying to leave it to the professionals.

California streetwear store Bait celebrates 4/20 with Happy, a marijuana-themed Stan Smith Vulc. The shoe has a hemp upper with a stoned out pattern, heel tabs and labels inspired by medical marijuana stickers and a stash for “small items.” Advanced sale raffle here.

Adidas brings back its 1972 trainers’ original colors. The Rivea – get your shoe names right Adidas! – has a soft and accommodating suede upper, velour three stripes and the classic striped gumsole. One of the year’s best revival shoes so far. Available in gray or light brown.

Nike expands its Free lineup with three new running shoes and two new training shoes. All five pairs feature a new segmented midsole that not only flexes lengthwise but also expands its width with every step, absorbing shock and conforming to the foot’s shape. Drops 4/7/16.

Puma overhauled its Blaze of Glory running shoes, replacing its leather and mesh upper with suede panels and leather overlays and then adding a neoprene sockliner. The result is a great alternative to the Air Huarache.
