Awesome Sema

Kia brought two adventurous concept vehicles to the 2024 SEMA Show. The EV9 ADVNTR is a rugged take on the awesome EV9, with all-terrain tires, a 3″ lift, reinforced rocker panels, and a custom roof rack. The PV5 WKNDR is a nifty electric camper van. It’s ready for overlanding on rough terrain and offers a modular live-work space, a popup roof tent, and solar panels.

Toyota goes retro with a sweet 2-door 4Runner for the 2024 SEMA Show. The 4Runner TRD Surf Concept has a removable hard-top for open-air riding, weatherproof seats and flooring, and a spot to carry surfboards and other beach gear. It’s been widened and lifted, rolling on 37-inch tires with a long-travel suspension. See it in person in Las Vegas from 11.5 to 11.8.24.

Toyota is showing off some fantastic special projects for the 2023 SEMA show. Our favorite is the FJ Bruiser – Motorsports Garage’s custom-built off-road chassis with the body of a 1966 FJ Land Cruiser and the brawn of a TRD race engine. It also has a conveyor belt track underneath to help it move if it gets high-centered. Check out the full four-episode build here.

For SEMA 2022, Lexus teamed up with DSPORT to build the most kick-ass IS 350. It rocks a twin-turbo V6 from an LS 500, cranked up to 600+ hp, a widebody kit from Artisan Spirits, a Seibon carbon fiber hood and trunk, GTHAUS stainless steel exhaust, a 6-speed sequential transmission, a 4-point roll bar, and Sparco racing seats.

Chevy turned up at SEMA 2021 with this over-the-top desert runner truck. It’s based on the chassis of a Silverado short bed with a shortened frame, a Chromoly roll cage, and an extra-wide stance. It rocks a custom off-road suspension, massive 37″ tires, and is powered by a 6.2L supercharged LT4 V8 that makes 650 hp.

One of the cooler builds at SEMA 2016, this 1971 Challenger combines classic style with modern performance. It rocks a brand new 392 Hemi V8 crate engine packing 485hp, a lowered suspension, and Hellcat brakes. We love the “Bitchin Black” paint and minimal red accents.

One of Toyota’s slick rides for SEMA 2016, Cartel Customs and Star Side Design turned the 4-door daily driver into a 2-door sportscar, turbo-boosted to 250 whp, stripped it down to just 2000 lb. with the driver, then coated the whole thing in a vibrant two-tone paint.

This low-riding, custom-built beast started life as a 2016 Land Cruiser, but now is capable of pushing out more than 2000 hp, and hitting a top speed of 220 mph, courtesy of Motorsports Technical Center, and a pair of volleyball-sized Garrett turbochargers. Debuts at SEMA 2016.

Suspension component maker Hellwig Products and LGE-CTS Motorsports are building this off-road beast for SEMA 2016. The modded Nissan Titan XD has a forged sway bar and air bags to handle the big Lance Camper, and rides on massive Falken tires and black Method Wheels.
