North of the Border just won’t stop making things creepier than they should be. Adam’s latest nightmare fuel is an oversized clay and wire scorpion with human features like nipples, chest hair, fingernails, feet, and flesh-colored skin. Goopy black eyeballs, Tighty-whities, and mouth-arms bring it all together.

Coppertist.Wu’s brass bottle opener gives you the rare opportunity to hold a scorpion in your hand without the risk of getting stung. The design is based on the deadly Brazilian yellow scorpion and is incredibly detailed, down to the critter’s leg joints, pincers, and terrifying tail stinger.

The scorpions we encounter here in the U.S. are relatively small, but this oversize metal creature measures 8.25″ long. This awesomely creepy creation is made by Thailand artists Kreatworks using recycled automotive and machine parts. Also, it turns out that there are real scorpions that are almost the same size in South Africa.

Maker Ross the Random has a thing for turning hardware into critters. After he transformed a few nuts and bolts into a shiny hornet, he took a single screw and managed to massage it into a palm-sized sculpture of a scorpion.

LEGO builder Slekk024 is hoping to get his creepy crawly model of an emperor scorpion put into production. The brick-built sculpture is based on a real creature that grows as large as 9″ long, and glows under UV light. The model is made from 694 parts, and has around fifty articulated joints, including legs, pincers, and tail.

A team or engineers from the UGent Campus Kortrijk and Industrial Design Center developed this creepy, yet endearing six-legged robot which looks like a giant scorpion, complete with pincers and a whip tail. They’d sell a million of these to 12-year-old boys if they retailed them.
