Awesome Sci-fi
Funny: Battlestar Rhapsody
Queen fans may want to plug their ears, but Luke Ski’s Battlestar Rhapsody is a parody fit for an Opera House; best lines: “All the Hell, WTF, FTL!” and “Nothing frakking matters to me…”
Movie Trailer: Inception
Despite exposition courtesy Dicaprio, this trailer for Inception does little to help us understand its plot; still, we’re liking the mind games aspect of this sci-fi thriller, due out summer 2010.

Though far shorter than previous trailers, these Assassin and Savage trailers for Mass Effect 2 manage to be both entertaining and succinct; in the deep words of Grunt: “I love to fight.”

This Story trailer for Alien vs. Predator is actually light on the story and heavy on the gory; if there’s a brighter future with Weyland-Yutani, it sure as hell ain’t working as a colonial marine.
Infiltrator: Mass Effect 2
Mass Effect 2’s Infilitrator class gets a stealthy reveal in the trailer above: it only focuses on one talent–the tactical cloak–but it’s perfect for games of hide and geth seek.

Transport Trailer: C&C 4
Command & Conquer 4’s gameplay makeover gets teased with this lengthy Transport Down trailer; with procedural damage, control nodes, and upgrades, it seems more DoW 2 than C&C.
Book: The Windup Girl
One of Time’s top 10 fiction books of 2009, The Windup Girl is cyberpunk sans the computers with a hat tip to hard science; it envisions a post-petroleum biotech world. Thanks, Andrew!
Pilot Episode: Caprica
If you haven’t already watched it on DVD, see the full pilot episode for Caprica on SyFy or Hulu; for the uninitiated, it’s a sci-fi series that serves as a prequel to Battlestar Galactica.
Debut Trailer: Halo: Reach
Master Chief almighty, it’s a Forerunner…to the trilogy: much as we like seeing a whole mess of Spartans, we’re most impressed that this debut trailer for Halo: Reach is done in-engine.
SkyNet T-shirt
We’re not sure if this SkyNet t-shirt is an exercise in cognitive dissonance or cyborg destruction; with Los Angeles the latest city to join the Cloud/Cyberdyne, it may be time to call on Connor.

Galactic history may have turned out differently had those Death Star plans gotten lost: this That’s No Spoon t-shirt may not be fully armed and operational, but it is multi-functional.

This third international trailer for Daybreakers continues to build upon the previous two with a solid summary of the plot; the last 20 seconds reward with new, fast-cut action scenes.
Debut: Transformers WfC
Get those Energon cubes ready, because it’s time for an Autobot vs. Decepticon smack-down: Transformers: War for Cybertron takes place before Earth and gets teased above.

Even a Wraith would love Jacob Yarmuth’s Stargate Atlantis home theater; it features a 10 ft. Stargate with a 96″ screen, THX sound system, motion sensor doors, and fiber optic starscape.
Captain Nemo’s Nautilus
Epically detailed with interior views, movable parts, and LED lights, this 1:45 scale, 4-foot model of Captain Nemo’s Nautilus is based on Disney’s 1954 20,000 Leagues; limited to 500.
