Awesome Sam Raimi

(NSFW: Language/Gore) The full trailer for the new Evil Dead. The crystal-clear shots make the gore look silly, but unless this leads to a bad Army of Darkness reboot we’re not that concerned.

The latest trailer for Sam Raimi’s effects-laden 3D Wizard of Oz backstory takes us deep inside the walls of the Emerald City. We still can’t believe this is from the same guy behind The Evil Dead.

Fans of the classic Evil Dead horror series will immediately fall in love with Daniel Kanemoto’s animated tribute which ironically has much higher production values than Sam Raimi’s original films.

Sam Raimi’s gore-fest finally makes its way to Blu-ray today (8/31/10). If you’ve never seen Bruce Cambpell in his original turn as Ash, you must watch this low-budget horror classic.
