The beloved teen drama Final Fantasy is finally coming back. Final Fantasy VIII Remastered features overhauled graphics and will be released this 2019 for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Windows via Steam. If you think the upgrade doesn’t look like much, think again.

(PG-13: Language, Gore) A heist goes horribly wrong for the lead character of Cyberpunk 2077 in the game’s latest cinematic trailer. But hope is not lost, not when Keanu freakin’ Reeves is on your side. The game comes out in September 2020.

Our latest look at Nintendo Switch’s mega RPG Pokémon Sword and Shield is a doozy. The game will feature open-world areas where wild pokémon are visible, raids for up to four players, and a three-turn move called Dynamax that turns your critters into giants. The game drops 11/15/19.

Team Ninja’s sequel to its brilliant action RPG Nioh seems to be shaping up quite nicely. In Nioh 2, you get to create your own character, and transform into several demonic forms. It also has a cooperative multiplayer mode.

Earth’s heroes and villains team up to prevent Thanos and his Black Order from getting their hands on the Infinity Stones in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 for the Nintendo Switch. The action RPG features online and offline co-op for up to 4 players. Drops 7/19/19.

Previously exclusive to Japan, Caravan Stories is getting a North American release via the PlayStation 4. It’s a fantasy MMORPG where you tame and train beasts and customize your caravan as one of five races. It has both PvP and co-op modes. Drops 7/23/19.

From the developers behind the Legend of Grimrock series comes a fantasy tactical turn-based RPG for Windows. Druidstone: The Secret of the Menhir Forest has a tense and tough campaign with filled with puzzles and enemies. A level editor means endless replayability.

After four long years, it’s finally here. Another teaser, that is. Seriously though, the Final Fantasy VII Remake is looking very good. This new clip gives us a peek at the revamped battle system, as well as the gorgeous designs for Cloud, Aerith and Barret.

Diablo meets 1980’s suburbia and a sweet synthwave soundtrack in Kingdom of Night. This retro action RPG has you slaying demons in your neighborhood. Choose from three specializations, each with three classes. Coming to PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Switch.

Devespresso Games’ Vambrace: Cold Soul is a fantasy RPG that combines the side-scrolling combat of Darkest Dungeon with the choice-driven system of FTL: Faster Than Light. It’s coming to PCs, Xbox One, PS4 and Switch April 2019.

Divinity: Fallen Heroes continues the story of Divinity: Original Sin 2, but with more focus on the previous game’s turn-based combat. Recruit and level up characters, research new gear and fight your way through 60 missions solo or in co-op mode. Drops 2019.

The latest game in the fantasy and steampunk SteamWorld series. SteamWorld Quest is a turn-based action RPG where the robot heroes’ abilities come from customizable decks of cards. It will first be released to the Nintendo Switch in 2019.

From Gunpoint creator Tom Francis comes a turn-based tactical RPG set in a world where cops have magical powers. Tactical Breach Wizards will feature six distinct classes, a rewind mechanic and cosmetic rewards for skilled players.

Good Old Games worked with Blizzard to release an updated copy of the classic action RPG Diablo. The game now supports Windows 7, 8.1, and 10. It has support for higher resolutions as well as a lot of bug fixes. As with all GOG games, it is DRM-free.

The sequel to Ubisoft’s looter shooter takes place shortly after the events of the first game. The Division 2 is set in the summer in Washington D.C. The game packs more balanced weapons and gear, a revamped skill system and a new clan option for multiplayer.

Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield are the next mainline Pokémon games. Made exclusively for the Nintendo Switch, the games will feature an all-new region, new Pokémon, and beautiful cartoon-style 3D graphics. Both games will drop late 2019.
