(Gore) PlayStation Hong Kong’s gameplay trailer for the PS4 action-RPG Bloodborne. Though it’s in Chinese, it demonstrates the game’s controls and the basics of its combat and gives us a peek at some of the game’s weapons and enemies.

An enticing teaser for a new Fire Emblem game for the Nintendo 3DS. It appears to use the same engine as the excellent Fire Emblem Awakening, but with two warring factions inspired by the medieval east and west.

Formerly known as Project X, the Wii U exclusive Xenoblade Chronicles X looks to be the JRPG equivalent of Dragon Age: Inquisition and then some. Personalize your character, ride giant mechs and explore a vast and varied world.

One of the most unique games we’ve ever seen, Rollers of the Realms is a roleplaying game with pinball mechanics. Characters take on the form of pinball balls, each with its own abilities. Available on Windows, PS4 and PS Vita.

A turn-based tactical RPG set in the Warhammer 40K universe. Space Hulk Ascension is a spinoff of the Space Hulk board game (which also has a digital version), with new weapons, enemies and RPG mechanics such as leveling and equipment.

If you longed for the times when Diablo was actually creepy, check out Eitr. It’s an upcoming indie action RPG inspired by Blizzard’s series as well as Dark Souls. The art style and the sound effects are pretty neat if you ask us. More here.

An HD remake of the 2011 PSP title. Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is an action RPG with 14 playable heroes, each with a unique weapon and monster summon. You deploy three of the 14 heroes at a time, swapping between them at will.

Pokémon Alpha Sapphire & Omega Ruby bring a JRPG staple to the series: airships. Or rather, Mega Latios and Mega Latias. The games also bring back several Legendary Pokémon and introduces the versatile PokéNav Plus tool.

(Gore) Based on early reviews, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor bucks the trend of crappy licensed games. This lengthy trailer gives you the low-down on the game’s basics, including its story, characters, items and its Nemesis system.

The much-awaited JRPG once again showed signs of life at this year’s Tokyo Game Show. It looks like the hero Noctis and his buddies will go on one hell of a road trip in Meteor Garden Final Fantasy XV. More gameplay here.

The sequel to the fun old school first-person RPG. Legend of Grimrock 2 promises more devious traps, puzzles and secret areas, as well as more diverse environments. The game will also come with a level editor.

(Gore) The godfather of post-apocalyptic tactical RPGs returns. Brian Fargo’s Wasteland 2 lets you pick or create a team of Desert Rangers exploring post-nuclear holocaust America. If you love Fallout or CRPGs, this is your jam.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is an open world action RPG set in the LotR universe. You play an undying ranger aided by a wraith. Your enemies will remember their past encounters with you, and can also be coerced to aid you.

(Gore) A new action RPG from the makers of Demon Souls and Dark Souls. Bloodborne has transforming weapons and a desperation move that allows you to regain health by striking enemies shortly after you’re hit.

(NSFW: Language, Gore) Not even YouTube’s crappy compression can hold back The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. This 37-minute demo shows off the game’s expansive world and colorful characters. This game will devour our time.

Made by Level-5, the Nintendo 3DS exclusive Fantasy Life is a single player RPG with an MMO feel. Switch professions at any time and see how the world adapts to your lifestyle. You can also own and personalize multiple houses.

A fantasy horror RPG set in the Old West. Hard West will have an overworld map for exploration, trading and quests. Its combat will be tactical turn-based, where players can ricochet or curve bullets and use shadows to their advantage.

First shown at E3 2014, this very impressive gameplay demo of Dragon Age: Inquisition showcases the game’s open world, convenient travel modes, some of your allies and foes and ends with a fight with a large dragon. Part 2 here.

A fantasy turn-based RPG for Windows and OS X in the vein of the Baldur’s Gate series. Divinity: Original Sin has a highly interactive world and colorful characters and dialogue. You can control two characters at once or play coop. More here.

Return to Hoenn in Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, a remake of the 2002 GBA titles Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire. The game carries over the Mega Evolution and 3D graphics introduced in Pokémon X & Y. Drops 11/21.
