Awesome Rivers

Adventurer and maker Matt Spears was interested in exploring an abandoned railway, but the problem was that it was only accessible by river. So he planned an expedition to float down the river on his hovercraft and to place the lightweight watercraft on wheels to ride it along the train track. But like any great journey, there were some trials along the way.

The late Bob Ross had a distinctive style to his serene landscape paintings. After training an AI image generator on Bob’s paintings, Miha Mastnak created this wild video that makes it look like the artist painted an animated river, lazily winding through a valley. We don’t know much about farming watermelons, but apparently, part of the operation includes keeping them cooled off as they go from harvest to shipment. This clever farmer takes advantage of the melons’ buoyancy not only to transport their melons but to keep them from baking in the hot sun.
