Rick and Morty fans will love this fan short film by David James Armsby, in which we find out more about the life of one of the endless stream of victims left in the wake of the multidimensional misadventures of the show’s main characters.
Drummer David Dockery’s latest rhythm-matching exercise lines up his drumbeats with one of the many classic improv bits from Rick and Morty, as the duo tunes into one of the multiverse’s infinite TV channels, and encounters a salesman with an eye problem.
You know how there are an infinite number of Ricks and Mortys in the multiverse? Well it turns out that they can appear in infinite animation styles as well. Director Matt Taylor’s video exposes us to some of the many other looks they’ve experienced. Full list of artists here.
Somebody stole the plans to Rick’s portal gun, and it’s up to you to figure out who the thief is, where they absconded with the plans, and what instrument they used to pull of the heist. There are six game pieces in the box… possibly more if it’s infected with parasites.
“I refuse to answer a literal call to adventure, Morty. Let it go to voicemail.” The new season brings us Pickle Rick, Morty’s giant arm, some creepy dude smashing heads with a giant piano, and gooey mutants galore in “the darkest year” of their adventures. Episodes kick off 7/30/17.
(PG-13: Language) “Do I agree with Rick that nothing means anything? No I do not, because the knowledge that nothing matters, while accurate, gets you nowhere.” Rick & Morty co-creator Dan Harmon talks about the philosophy they espouse in their hit show.
(PG-13: Language) YouTuber Anastasia Vasilieva combined the Jemaine Clement song Goodbye Moonmen from Rick and Morty with the trippiest sequence from Doctor Strange, and it works just perfectly. It works surprisingly well with Star Trek: The Motion Picture too.
(PG-13: Language) Fans of Rick and Morty are painfully aware of Rick’s problems with the bottle. For an upcoming episode, Rick gets so blackout drunk that Dan Harmon decided that co-creator and actor Justin Roiland should read the part shitfaced. Man, Justin’s a sad drunk.
Wisecrack is back with another deep-dive into the Rick and Morty multiverse. This time they break down the classic episode The Ricks Must Be Crazy, and how Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland’s use of good story structure makes each episode as satisfying as possible.
He’s coming to your town, he’ll help you get rickety-rickety-wrecked, son! Adult Swim tries to one-up the Wienermobile with their own unique vehicle. Clearly, on this timeline, Rick is a van, and he’s selling Rick and Morty-branded merch out of the back of it.
Andrew Rea tried three ways to recreate McDonald’s discontinued Szechuan sauce, which plays a pivotal role in Rick and Morty‘s season 3 premiere. There’s the semi-authentic way, the Xeropoint way and the McDonald’s way. Why can’t you just travel to 1998, Rick?!
If you missed the April 1st livestream of season 3, episode 1 of Rick and Morty, (and assuming the lawyers have yanked down any mirrors), trust us when we say it was great. To tide you over, enjoy this trippy 30-second Adult Swim segway done in an awesome pixel art style.
“He seems to have manifested some sort of butt. He is the smartest man in the universe.” Adult Swim pulled off a reverse April Fools’ prank by including the first episode of Rick and Morty‘s third season in an all-episode continuous livestream.
(SPOILERS, PG-13) Rick and Morty‘s Rick and Morty may have the same voice actor, but the colorful cast of characters surrounding them were brought to life by a schiwft-ton of guests, from John Oliver to Werner Herzog. Check them out in Adult Swim Australia’s compilation.
Adult Swim Australia posted a video they claim is an “Exclusive! Season 3 Opening Scene,” from Rick and Morty, but it becomes pretty obvious, pretty quickly, that they’re messing with us.
(PG-13: Language) After looking at Rick and Morty’s many references, Wisecrack delves into the show’s exploration of human nature and belief systems peppered throughout Get Schwifty, in which giant heads descend from the heavens with less than altrustic motives.
A hilarious live action edit of footage from Bad Boys and other movies diced up to replicate the film described in one of the many madcap improvised interdimensional commercials from the Rick and Morty episode Rixty Minutes.
Artist Stephen Andrade loves to make realistic pulp fiction or Choose Your Own Adventure covers based on popular series such as Rick and Morty, Labyrinth and Seinfeld. Prints of the Get Schwifty cover will be available on Gallery1988’s Rick and Morty exhibit.
Animator Paul Robertson created this awesome pixelated version of the intro from Rick and Morty. We’re hoping there’s a dimension like this and they’ll do a whole episode there. Maybe they can address the whole “it’s not 8-bit, it’s 16/32/64-bit” argument once and for all.
(PG-13: Language) Morty’s crush comes up with a profound definition for love, one of the intro clips appears to be resolved and both Morty and Rick are sick of Rick’s crap in this livestreamed storyboard from Rick and Morty’s third season.
Fans of Rick and Morty know that the show is packed with subtle and not-so-subtle nods to sci-fi, horror, and pop culture. Wisecrack takes a look at some of the many references the cartoon made in its first two seasons, and how it cleverly integrated them into storylines.
