Awesome Remix

“We live in an ocean… in an ocean of vibration.” Remix artist Melodysheep’s Symphony of Sound gets meta with their latest clip, which uses sound bites of famous scientists and musicians as they speak about the art and science behind sound and music.

The whole idea of sitcom laugh tracks make us cringe. Do we really need to be told when something is funny? Regardless, hit TV shows continue to do it. Owen Cooper decided to see if it would be any better if he swapped the “live studio audience” with Ricky Gervais’ laugh.

Big Bada Boom! Eclectic Method’s catchy EDM track is chopped up from sound bites from Luc Besson’s cult classic, and it actually sounds like a track which might have been played in a dance club in the world in which Korben, Leeloo, and Ruby Rhod reside in.

(PG-13: Language) Seth McFarlane’s anthropomorphic teddy bear swears his ass off and beats the spit out of Mark Wahlberg in Eclectic Method’s latest remix. That sample of McFarlane’s Boston howl needs to come standard with every synthesizer.

“Your weakness is not your technique. It is doubt, and disbelief.” Eclectic Method chopped up bits of dialogue and sound effects from The Matrix to create this groovy EDM track that gives us another reason to watch some of our favorite movie moments of all time.

Remix magician marioboy22601 figured out that the theme songs of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Thomas & Friends meld together perfectly, resulting in an unlikely marriage that’s as delightful as peanut butter and bacon on a burger. Seriously, try that. It’s delicious.

Remix master Eclectic Method reminds us just how much we loved Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, and all of the films of Edgar Wright with his brief tribute to this wonderfully fun comic book come to life. Guess we know what we’ll be rewatching this weekend.

Bevan Bell took the widely panned trailer for the new Ghostbusters reboot, and with a little clever editing and better overall pacing made the movie look much more entertaining, proving that trailers don’t mean a whole lot, and we need to wait for the actual movie.

(PG-13 Language) Get pumped for this weekend’s return of The Walking Dead with Mike Relm’s edgy remix of sound bites and Bear McCreary’s familiar theme from AMC’s zombie soap opera. And no, we don’t advise looking at the flowers.

(PG-13 Lyrics) An impressive live performance by the digital remix duo of Tha TrickaZ, loaded with iconic audio samples from music, TV shows, and movies. See if you can name all the tracks. We love that they snuck the Robocop theme in.

EDM duo Mashd N Kutcher got bored while waiting for their plane to leave. So they fired up their equipment and their imagination and made a stereotypical dance track using the sounds around them.

While the ’70s-infused soundtrack of Guardians of the Galaxy is one of our all-time favorites, Mike Relm took his edit in a more modern direction, creating a fun electronic remix made primarily from sounds bites sampled from the movie.

(NSFW: Language) Eclectic Method manages to make an omelette from the broken eggs that are the Wolverine movies, with this intense, action-packed remix of sound bites and electronic beats. We hear he’s quite an animal.

DJ Earworm’s annual mix of the year’s top pop tracks is as buttery smooth as ever, combining Billboard’s top 25 tracks of 2013, with songs from Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Daft Punk, Lorde, Miley Cyrus, Imagine Dragons and more.

(NSFW: Language) ItsMetroGnome starts out playing a cover version of Dave Porter’s Breaking Bad theme song on his acoustic guitar, but quickly transitions into a wub-wub filled electronic remix, using samples from the show.

Mike Relm mashed up sample sounds from all three Iron Man movies with various hip hop tracks, then made this matching video for the resulting mix. This reminds us how awesome the first movie really was. Get the audio here.
