Awesome Ram

When it comes to pickup trucks, they don’t get more luxurious or full-featured than the top-of-the-line Ram 1500 Tungsten. As comfortable as your living room, as quick as some sports cars, and fully capable as a work truck, the Tungsten is as versatile as it gets. After a week living with Ram’s $90,000 truck, we were sad to see it leave our driveway.

Ram is showing off the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO, a performance off-roader with a Hurricane straight-six turbo engine making 540 hp and 521 lb-ft. of torque and a 0-to-60 time of 4.6 seconds. It has a long-travel suspension with Bilstein Black Hawk e2 adaptive shocks, a 2-inch lift, and rolls on 35-inch tires. The RHO drops Q3 2024, with a starting price of $69,995.

The RAM 1500 Ramcharger electric pickup truck has an innovative drivetrain with a 92kWH battery pack and a V6 gas engine that connects to an onboard generator to extend its driving range up to 690 miles. Power flows to the wheels via front and rear motors, delivering up to 663 hp, 615 lb-ft. of torque, and a 0-to-60 time of 4.4 sec. It’ll tow 14,000 lb. or carry 2,625 lb.

We previously enjoyed a few snowy days driving the Ram 1500 TRX. After another week of living with this bonkers truck in warmer and drier surroundings, we’re convinced no production pickup’s more fun-to-drive or off-road capable. This one looks incredible, bathed in pearl-coat Hydro Blue paint with black accents.

Ram tosses their hat into the electric pickup truck ring with a glimpse at their first BEV. The Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept runs on a quick-charging 800-volt architecture, offers 4-wheel steering, and has a futuristic interior accessed through wide-opening “grand saloon” doors. A 2024 production model is set to debut soon.

In addition to its 702 hp supercharged V8 HEMI engine, this special Ram 1500 TRX comes decked out in a bold Baja Yellow color scheme and rolls on 18-inch black beadlock-capable wheels. Inside, you’ll find Prowler Yellow stitching, carbon fiber accents, and a leather/carbon fiber flat-bottom steering wheel.

Ram Trucks teamed up with musician Chris Stapleton to create one of the best-looking pickups we’ve seen. Based on the 2500 Heavy Duty, the Traveller features two-tone paint inspired by the 1979 Ram Palomino. It rides on 18″ turbo fin wheels, a custom Ram hood ornament, and 1980s-style badges. It’s even better on the inside.

We’ve spent time with the current-gen RAM 1500 pickup, but never one as luxurious as the RAM 1500 Limited. We drove the tricked-out 10th Anniversary Edition, fully-loaded with the V8 HEMI eTorque engine, Tech and Towing packages, and more – all gleaming in the sun under a blanket of Patriot Blue pearl coat paint.

The RAM TRX is an insanely powerful and fun truck. Now, you could be driving this 702 hp, Hellcat-powered pickup. This fully-loaded model – valued at over $91,000 – has an ammo green body wrap, Fab Fours bumpers, and LightingTrendz lights. The Rebel G/T is a sport styling and performance upgrade for Ram’s already excellent 1500 Rebel pickup. The G/T gets a sport hood, a factory-installed Mopar cold-end exhaust and cold-air intake, paddle shifters, metal pedals, G/T bucket seats, and Performance pages. A 5.7-liter V8 with eTorque mild-hybrid assist is standard.

We were fortunate to spend several days dashing through the snow in Ram’s 702 horsepower sleigh. This beast of a truck does everything that the already great Ram 1500 does, just faster and with more brawn. It’s basically a muscle car with an off-road suspension – and a rich kids’ plaything like nothing else.

Because the 702 horsepower Ram 1500 TRX isn’t enough, Hennessey Performance Engineering has taken the pickup and bestowed it with an extra set of wheels, and a tuned 7.0-liter Hellephant engine that makes more than 1200 hp. Hennessey will build just three of the $500,000 trucks, which go on sale 9.4.2020 at noon CST.

Building upon the TRX concept, Ram is finally making a production version of this powerful off-road truck. It packs a monster 6.2L supercharged V8 that makes 702hp, launching the truck from 0 to 60 in 4.5 sec. The lifted truck has 11.8″ of clearance, is 6″ wider than a standard Ram 1500, and rides on massive 35″ all-terrain tires.

When it comes to half-ton pickup trucks, the best you can buy today is a RAM 1500. And if you want to take one off-road, the RAM 1500 Rebel is the most capable of the bunch. We spent a week with the new EcoDiesel Rebel both on and off the pavement, and found a whole lot to love about this rugged yet modern truck.

We recently spent the day at one of our favorite off-road spots in the Midwest – Badlands Park in Attica, Illinois. There, we were given free-reign to explore acres upon acres of challenging terrain behind the wheel of the 2020 Jeep Gladiator, and 2019 Ram 2500 Power Wagon.

Along with its other RAM 1500 brethren, the off-road ready quad cab Rebel is 4″ longer than before, increasing its wheelbase and interior space. Its suspension rides better than ever, and it features a sweet interior with black and red accents, and tire tracks embossed into its seats.
