We’ve seen lots of POV footage shot from cameras mounted inside race cars, or even on the outside of a helmet. But during the 2018 Monaco Grand Prix, driver Pierre Gasly wore a special helmet with a camera and microphone inside, for an even more immersive experience.

In this unusual and long-running European sport, racers tether an insanely fast, motorized hydroplane to a center point and let it spin around wildly in a pool of water. Apparently, these things can reach speeds over 135 mph.

Nowness presents an excerpt from Christopher Kippenberger’s upcoming documentary Kart Kids. The film, which Kippenberger has been shooting for the past decade, follows three kids in Germany’s go-kart racing scene. We can’t wait to see more of it.

Motor Trend held its annual quarter-mile drag race on Vandenberg Air Force Base’s 15,000ft.-long runway. The 12 competitors are the site’s favorite cars for 2017, including the Mercedes Benz AMG GTR, the Ferrari 488 GTB, and the Tesla Model S P100D.
