Bohemian Ukulele
It may be a few years old, but we just had to share this performance from a 2010 TED session with musician Jake Shimabukuro. It starts out mellow, but Jake quickly pulls us in with his hypnotic uke skills. Hear more from Jake here.

A dad and his three kids replicate the classic Bohemian Rhapsody scene from Wayne’s World as he drives them to school. Though we have to say their car looks nicer than Wayne’s Mirthmobile.
At first, we thought Marc Martel was lip-syncing, but he does the most uncanny impression of Freddie Mercury’s smooth and powerful vocals. Or maybe he’s just a medium for the dead. More here.
Today would have been the 65th birthday of Queen frontman and vocal genius Freddie Mercury. Google pays tribute to his artistry and showmanship with this awesome animated Google Doodle tribute.
This little rocker is watching Queen’s epic Live Aid performance and gamely joins the crowd in following Freddie Mercury’s lead. Good thing he wasn’t watching an Iggy Pop concert.
Award-winning Finnish street musicians the Porkka Playboys honor Queen (and Wayne’s World?) with a charming rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody, while crammed into a rusty old Volkswagen Polo.
Time for your midday zen moment: Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody, arranged for four violins and performed by Joe Edmonds. Quite beautiful, and also good for karaoke practice. (Thanks Martyn!)
Youtube musical madman Mystery Guitar Man takes on Queen’s classic Bohemian Rhapsody on – get this – slide whistle (and kazoo). We’re not sure why, but somehow it works.
We’re not sure if the guy in this video is really homeless, but his dueling-Kermit rendition of Bowie and Queen’s Under Pressure is the best thing we’ve seen in days. It’s the next big meme for sure.
Queen fans may want to plug their ears, but Luke Ski’s Battlestar Rhapsody is a parody fit for an Opera House; best lines: “All the Hell, WTF, FTL!” and “Nothing frakking matters to me…”
Beelzebub has an Animal put on drums for me. The Muppets turn in an epic, monstrosity-filled ensemble rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody, complete with all the flourishes of Queen’s 1975 rock opera classic.
