Awesome Potato Chips

Lay’s teamed up with IHOP to bring breakfast flavors to potato chips. These special edition snacks blend natural and artificial flavorings to make them taste like pancakes with strawberry topping, maple syrup, and smoky bacon. Walmart had them on sale for a limited time for just $2.99 a bag, but prices are already rising on eBay for the things.

Inspired by that commercial where the guy plays drums on his Pringles cans, Eric and Tony G from EMCproductions made their own set of drums out of potato crisp (and Gatorade) cans. They replaced the plastic lids with balloons as drum heads and used their metal bottoms as “cymbals.”

A few years back, we had the opportunity to taste several prototype flavors for Lay’s potato chips. Now, a tasty new flavor has gone into production, with chips that replicate the delicious flavor of a grilled cheese sammie and a cup of tomato soup. Available for a limited time starting on 10/21/19.

Love you some Pringles? Just remember that next time you chow down on one of those neatly-stacked, perfect potato chips, you’re actually eating a delicious pressed, formed, and precision-cut mush of potato flakes. They’re like the Chicken McNuggets of chips.

Lay’s turned to its fans to crowdsource a new potato chip flavor. We’ve tasted the four finalists: Bacon Mac & Cheese, Mango Salsa, Wasabi Ginger, and the surprisingly delicious Cappuccino. Sadly, the mango salsa tastes like bath gel.
